Subject: Craig Daniell and Lorie Chortyk may destroy the SPCA

September 3, 2004

To the Board of Directors of the BC SPCA

Animal Advocates offered to foster Cheech. All Craig Daniell had to do was say yes, and he would have offloaded a perceived liability and kept favour with Delta council. Instead Craig Daniell said no to our offer and sent his heavies from Vancouver to Delta to make sure Cheech got killed. And the rest is a matter of very public record, on TV and in the papers, over and over.

Craig Daniell's temper and poor judgement lost the SPCA a contract worth as much as $450,000 a year and any goodwill and credibility that it had in Delta.

AAS offered to save this situation. Mr Daniell chose angry confrontation and did so much damage to the SPCA that it is unlikely to recover.

This is the man who is driving the BC SPCA's defamation suit against AAS. That suit has been described by several lawyers as suicidal.

This is the man who fired good people and kept Lorie Chortyk as P.R. mistress. Chortyk has made a long list of misleading and outright dishonest public statements, but her defaming insult to the Mayor and Council of Delta reaches a new low. Here is what she said:

"If Delta wants to have dangerous dogs among their children, they can do that," said SPCA spokeswoman Lorie Chortyk."

The implications of the insult this is to Delta Mayor, councillors, and staff are probably actionable. Chortyk is saying that they don't care about the safety of Delta's children.

This woman won an award not long ago from the Canadian Public Relations Society. This does not reflect well on CPRS in our opinion and we will be reporting her egregious defamation to CPRS as we have already reported all her false statements about Cheech and her false P.R. about the Violence Link Project.

The Violence Link Project deception: http://www.animaladvocates.com/Watchdog/ViolenceLink.htm

AAS urges you to fire both Craig Daniell and Lorie Chortyk quickly before there is nothing left of the SPCA's reputation to save.
